Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother then began more intense vocal training at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In her early career, she was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
