Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. She began her career in the 80s before coming into prominence thanks to her character in the film Tezaab in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her next role was in Dil where she starred alongside Aamir. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled for a few years as most of her initial films failed. However, she eventually achieved success and went on to become one of the leading actresses on the Indian film business. After her wedding, she took an absence from the industry before returning to the business. Recently, she had a major role to play in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. In addition, she is recognized for her charity work.
