She played Karen Walker on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace (1998-2006, 2017-2020) where she earned 8 Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting actress in the category of Comedy Series winning twice in the years 2000 and the year 2006. For her role, Mullally was nominated as well as winning numerous Awards. These included a string of seven consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards as Outstanding performance by female actors in a Comedy Series. Mullally's early acting roles included a McDonald's commercial with John Goodman. Mullally began her acting career on the 1986 series The Ellen Burstyn Show. She has guest appearances on Seinfeld, Frasier, Wings Ned and Stacey Mad About You Caroline - on The City 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Just Shoot Me! She was the protagonist in season five episode of Murder She Wrote.
